Expressive Eagles
Chameleon Project
Mr. Green's art class learned how to draw cool patterns and animals from observation. Here's an amazing work of art done by one of his first grade students.
Create Your Own City
Mr. Green taught his students about the artist Stephen Wiltshire. He is an artist who draws cities around the world entirely from memory. He asked his students to draw their own city. The students used many different shapes, lines and colors to create their cities. They also used watercolors and oil pastels to bring their cities to life!

James Rizzi City/ Three-Dimensional City Project
Grades third and fourth created cityscapes inspired by the artist, James Rizzi, who created characteristics of his city. The students were asked, "if they could give the city of Richmond characteristics what would that look like through their perspectives?" For fifth grade, the students created three-dimensional cities with broken line patterns inspired by Vincent Van Gogh's broken brush work in his painting Starry Night.
